STYLISH SUNDAES AT THE LOUNGE


Tackle Hong Kong’s summer heat with a delicious selection of ice cream sundaes by Pastry Chef Gregoire Michaud at The Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong.

Available from July 1 to September 30, 2012, Michaud has created a variety of five, elegant summer sundaes including one which won’t leave a pang of guilt for fear of the next junk trip. The Waist Not is a combination of blueberry frozen yoghurt, malt crumble, cassis marshmallow and vanilla Madeleine to satisfy those with a sweet tooth but a calorie conscious mind. Its antithesis is the Devil’s Dare; an indulgent treat of chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate sauce, opera cake and finished with a cocoa bean crisp – the perfect post work-out delight!

Verging on including all of your ‘five a day’ and a very tropical affair, Michaud’s Tutti Fruiti combines a classic vanilla ice cream with different textures of mango, pineapple, hazelnut and lime. Representing the Far East, the Oriental Zing is a tangy and refreshing cocktail of yuzu ice cream, black cherry, Tahitian vanilla Chantilly and topped with a cornflake cookie. Chef Michaud’s final creation is an ode to Europe and the country of the summer: an English Garden will transport the mind and palate to an idyllic cottage patio on the edge of a vegetable patch with fresh mint ice cream, honey-hibiscus flower, marinated strawberries and churros. This year, The Lounge once again offers refreshing Summer Iced Teas from July 1 to September 30, 2012; Passion Fruit, Vanilla & Apple, Pink Guava, Mint Lemonade Ginger, Organic Pear Green & Cantaloupe and Berry & Pomelo. Enhance any Summer Iced Tea with a scoop of sorbet as the thermometre rises, with choices from Alphonso Mango, Rose Champagne & Strawberry, Kaffir Lime Leaf, Vanilla Cantaloupe or Fresh Mint.

The Summer Iced Teas perfectly complement Chef Michaud’s new Summer Afternoon Tea selection, comprising delicious creations of; Mango, Coconut & Coriander Japonais, Sour Cherry  Kiss, Dulche de Leche Ice Cream Lolliipop and Chocolate. Pistachio & Orange Cannelloni, in addition to his famous scones and a variety of interesting and delicious savouries.

The Lounge is open daily for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner from 06:30 until 11:30 and for Afternoon Tea daily, from 15:00 until 17:30.
